2010 Recap (the good, the bad & the ugly)



Well I wish I had nothing but GLAMOROUS pictures to show you for the year 2010, but some are and some aren't. But one of the special parts of my blog is the realness, no fronts "This is ME".
I felt like it was important to do this blog for myself so I could see where I have been and then I can better set the path for where I am going.

NYE 2010 Outfit ideas...........................................

New Years Eve Eye Shadow........................


The three brushes I am using to complete the look
(from left to right)
Brush 1: is a flat stipple brush (MAC 239)
Brush 2: is a round fluffy blending brush (MAC 217)
Brush 3: is a round crease eye shadow brush (Sephora Round Crease Brush)


4 shadows
(left to right)
1. Arena (warm peachy color)
2. Soft Brown Matte (a pale brown color)
3. Embark (mahogany brown)
4. Ricepaper (sparkly pale yellow gold)


Vintage Selection
Paint Pot
(Limited Edition)
I am addicted to paint pot's (cream shadow base, that acts as a velcro between your skin in the eyeshadows)


Smudge the paint over entire eye
I like to use my finger (my body heat warms the product)
YOU ONLY NEED A LITTLE


Using Brush #1 pat Arena eyeshadow all over the eye up to the crease


Brush #1 and apply Ricepaper on browbone
Make sure to blend


Take brush #2 and make a < with Soft Brown matte eyeshadow in the corner of the eye into the outer part of the crease
Make sure to blend


Take brush #3 and make a smaller< with Embark eyeshadow on the inside of the Soft brown matte color
Make sure to blend


Line your eyes with a gel or cake liner
apply mascara/ lashes if desired
Complete

Healthy Hair Challenge.......................................


As you all know I have been natural (without a chemical relaxer) for 3 years and it has been one of the best things I could have done for my hair. My hair has never been healthier and growing longer than it ever did with a relaxer. However, I think I have gotten comfortable with my hair's status and looking at other blogs and hair forums I am realizing my hair could be so much healthier, longer and thicker. I have always believed in the misconception that long thick hair was genetic. I now know with better care of my hair, I too can achieve longer fuller locks.
So last night I decided to join :

This is a hair length chart. My goal is mid back for 2011. I am currently almost at armpit length.
